Biography

“Exit 12” is a classic rock group that specializes in music that “Feels Like the First Time”.  The members of “Exit 12” have years of professional experience, in all genres and in all types of venues.  This accomplished group of performers have studied with some of the best known and well respected teachers (Jaco Pastorious, Don Lawrence), and in the best schools (Queens College Aaron Copland School, NYU) along the way.  Well versed in a host of styles – rock, metal, jazz, classical, pop, funk – they have appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, L’Amour and L’Amour East, the 55 Bar, the Knitting Factory, C.B.G.B.’s, Birch Hill Night Club, as well as all major local Staten Island venues – The St. George Theater, The Paramount, SI Yankee Stadium, Richmond County Fair, and the Back-to-the-Beach concerts where they performed for a crowd of 20,000 people.  They have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music and entertainment business.  Individual members have accomplishments far beyond their performance acumen, including advanced sound reinforcement, music for TV and radio, and award winning recordings and compositions. 

From this rich and diverse background they have teamed up to form a classic rock band that can accurately reproduce some of the most iconic music ever.  Blues drenched unplugged versions of “Layla” are heard next to note-perfect renditions of prog classics like “Long Distance Runaround”.  With their instrumental versatility they are able to reproduce the string quartet of “Eleanor Rigby” as accurately as the stomping fury of Zeppelin’s “What Is and What Should Never Be”.  Stunning vocals – lead and background – propel them to the forefront of groups working in the field. 

Available for clubs, private parties, corporate events or festivals, they can even do full “unplugged” evenings to suit the venue.
